breakfast menu never changed, baked beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, dry toast!, mutton sausage, except for 1 day they had potato wedges in place of potato brownies. the hot meal were boring!
The service was superb, to the extent that it surpassed my experience at many 5 star hotels in major cities around the world. Along with being a relatively new hotel, it provided for a fantastic overall experience.
The friendly welcolming and efficient staff
It is conveniently located close to the buzz of umhlanga. Hotel staff are amazing and go the extra mile and very friendly. A car drive to the beach though but it's not too far. Love the modern contemporary feel of the hotel.
The rooms could have been cleane better and more space could have been made available to us as a family
The room was very nice. The pool, gym and spa are very good. The staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety.
Room service is very slow. I had to wait 90 minutes for my dinner, which finally arrived at 10 pm
Location and security aspect.
The breakfast was very dissapointing to say the least ( the only edable food was a muffin and was shared between two people) and are a negative to the rest of the stay.Will propably not stay there again.
Everything: The facilities were great. Service was excellent, from the check-in, to room service to breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and we were really made to feel welcome. The food was also superb.
Staff friendly and accommodating. Bed large and comfortable. Well functioning shower. Pleasant design feel.
TV could not be switched off (by design, guests are expected to sleep with TV illuminating the room). No radio channels. Minibar empty. Room windows could not be opened. Only one lift. Continental breakfast inadequate. No croissants, no bread. Breakfast staff ignorant about bread requirements, salami slicing (peel left on while slicing) and toast preparation. Burnt toast was presented twice, toast served on dinner plate, with slices on top of each other, resulting in soggy toast. This was pointed out to the manager who was unable to provide a solution. Happy hour on Friday afternoon with loud music and half-price drinks not in line with hotel status. Overall experience was well below expectations for a 4-star hotel and the hotel may not meet the requirements for a 4-star rating.
The friendly professional staff. Always had a smile on their faces and were quick to help at any time of the day or night.
Initially the front parking area was confusing. Maybe a sign to show the direction to reception as you turn off Umhlanga drive would be of help?
1. During 1st two nights, children of a family that stayed opposite our room were constantly slamming their door throughout the night, which kept us awake. 2. On Sunday morning when I complained to reception, they moved us to another room far away from the chrildren. 3. On Mondy morning at 06h30, the same children started swimming in the roof swimming pool immediately above our room, which made a lot of noise 4. The hotel should have stricter rules about noise control to protect guests We will never stay in this hotel again.

Fire alarm malfunctioned twice once early morning
Hi there. I must say that, when I arrived after a long journey, I was so welcomed, I felt rite at home, the service starts the mintue u jump of your car, I travel a lot and never have I ever felt so welcomed before at any hotel. I'm a customer service manager so trust me when I say it takes a lot to please me. The best part of the hotel is the view from the roof top. When ever I'm in durban again be it business or personal I will be staying there again.

The rooms were great and the beds were comfortable.
The food in the hotel and breakfast was bad. Very few selection and definately not value for money. There was also a mixip when we checked in we were sent to a room that was already pre-occupied. For the price per night I expect much more.
